The cause of the misery of online courses

There was a lot of rubbish in the "gold rush" era. Online courses were thrown together in a very short space of time that simply offered no added value. Didactically, they were georgia telegram screening reminiscent of the third channel school television in the early 1970s. They had boring and incredibly long videos ("this course contains over 200 hours of video material!") that tired and bored buyers.

I also remember a Pinterest course where the course creator forced me to watch a slowly growing loading bar for five minutes in a video. The option to fast forward was disabled.

In addition, many customers, whether from the business or private sector, have bought many more courses than they were actually able to consume and ultimately complete. There are not only shelves of unread books, there are also hard drives and online access to online courses that have not been completed.

You think very carefully about every new purchase.

Despite their length, many courses simply offered far too little content for the money.

Some course creators have calculated the price based on their effort rather than on the value for the customer.
