We see Google, Microsoft, OpenAI and other tech giants rolling out many AI functionalities this year. Not only our daily lives are affected by this, but also (online) marketing activities are being changed. On May 10th, the Google I/O event took place where Google presented new functionalities and products. In this article I will list the highlights. One thing was clear quickly – AI is trending!
1. Generative AI
Google has been saying for years that its mission is to organize all of the world's information and make it universally accessible and usable. Google exists to provide the user with a good, reliable email hong kong answer as efficiently and quickly as possible. And that is evident again with the latest update for the search results page (SERP) . Through generative AI, we can expect Google to provide an immediate answer to your search query in the search engine with important information. Below that, there will also be a few links to websites where you can find more information about the subject. Because an immediate answer is already provided in the SERP, you will have to click less often on a search result that leads to a website.

In addition, Google will display a button at the bottom of the generative AI snapshot with the option to ask a follow-up question. Other frequently asked questions are also displayed in this row. If you click on this option, you will go directly to a new “conversational mode”, where you can chat with Google.
Another feature within generative AI has to do with online shopping. Google will also help you make a decision faster during your online purchase process. Suppose you are looking for a product, then you can ask a question such as "what is the best bike for a 10km ride?". Then Google will give you advice via the generative AI snapshot. Linked to this, the system will also show Shopping ads with different options for bikes. In this way, Google answers your question in one go and you can order quickly.
