SSwedish streaming company potify is constantly reinventing itself, and has introduced two new tools that promise to change the way users consume their favorite content: AI-powered podcast translation into English, French, Spanish, and German, and Jam , a feature for listening to and sharing personalized music in real time.
Voice translations of podcasts
The first new feature concerns the most popular format of the moment: the podcast . Spotify's new pilot project is called "Voice Translation for podcasters" and consists of an artificial intelligence-powered france number data feature that will be able to translate podcasts into other languages using the podcaster's original voice.
According to a statement from the company , the new tool incorporates OpenAI's voice generation technology to copy the podcaster's original voice from short fragments and obtain a listening experience "that sounds more personal and natural than traditional dubbing."
For the initial project, which will translate voices from English into French, Spanish and German, Spotify has partnered with podcasters Dax Shepard, Monica Padman, Lex Fridman, Bill Simmons and Steven Bartlett, who have agreed to provide translations for a select number of episodes from their catalog, as well as future releases.
