We can only invest in companies registered in Ireland, and no more than 50% in a project. We invest in projects at the pre-seed stage (50 thousand euros), seed (150-600 thousand euros). But the main value we provide is not money, but the approval of the Irish state agency.
For venture capitalists, this is a quality mark, they trust us and also invest in the project. Through Enterprise Ireland, you can enter not only the markets of Europe or America, but also Asia, Australia, and a number of other countries. Our network includes 34 offices around the world.
We work with projects in the IT, medical devices, internet of things spheres. In hardware to a lesser extent, because it is a more expensive story. We receive a lot of applications at the idea stage, and we are happy list of united arab emirates cell phone numbers to support them if we see realistic forecasts and a good description.
— Do you give them grants?
This is not a grant - it is an investment through convertible loans. For the first investment there is a percentage, which can always be bought back. For us, this is a guarantee that we have not simply given the money to the project irrevocably. For companies, this guarantees our interest in their development. At the same time, the company must move to Ireland, be there, and work there.

— In Russia, did you consider other cities for work besides Kazan?
We are considering not only Russian cities, but also the CIS. It is just that in Kazan we have established mutual understanding at the highest level the fastest. Even in Moscow, the startup community is not very developed now, everything is a bit disjointed. There is FRII, there are other organizations, but this cannot yet be called an ecosystem. It is easier for us to work in Kazan, because Tatarstan and Ireland are very similar in some areas: here people act more independently than in other Russian regions.
