Because the new generations are born with technology practically under their belts, many parents find it difficult to keep their children away from screens as much as they would like.

Screens and children
Early exposure to screens and electronic devices can compromise the early development of the brain in children. Thus, the American Pediatric Association recommends avoiding electronic devices such as tablets, cell phones, computers or televisions before the age of two. Along these lines, they emphasize that it is ideal for children not to have any contact with technology until at least the age of 6.

This group of pediatricians claims that the use of screens in children inhibits creativity and generates a low tolerance for boredom. The excessive number of stimuli they receive from screens means that they later see the world around them with less interest.

Recommended screen time for children
According to the WHO, the recommended usage time for cryptocurrency data children should vary depending on the age of the infants :

Children under two years old: the use of screens is not recommended.
Children between 2 and 5 years old: never more than 30 minutes a day.
Children between 5 and 12 years old: no more than 60 minutes at a time.
Children over 12 years old: two hours per day maximum.
Use and addiction to electronic devices from an early age
Along these lines, a study published in 2019 by the University of Calgary (Canada) concluded that the use of screens in children under two years of age compromises their development from three to five years of age . Thus, and after observing a total of 2,400 children from birth over a decade, the research found that the greater the exposure to screens in children under two years of age, the worse the cognitive performance of these children was when they were given a developmental test that assesses communication, motor skills, problem solving and social skills.

Negative effects associated with excessive use of screens
In addition to the limitations in creativity , the negative effects associated with the inappropriate use of screens could be summarized in the following points:

They encourage a sedentary lifestyle : Children prefer to spend more time in front of screens than playing outside.
