VimpelCom initiated another reengineering undertaking in 2006, its goal was to automate procurement based on high-tech solutions. The business process in its current form at the time the project was launched did not suit the company: it involved a lot of employees, not all of whom were sufficiently qualified.
The automated system was used only by a part of the employees, which had a negative impact on the efficiency of receiving information by the management. This, in turn, entailed serious problems with accounting, and led to the impossibility of planning. As a result - general inefficiency.
Automation of the process became the main goal of reengineering, but in parallel, tasks were set: to train workers and make the information system simple and understandable. For this purpose, a special high-tech solution was created, which:
