This book is a bit out of the ordinary because I read it as part of my novel research. If you are also interested in everyday life in the so-called Third Reich and want to understand how our grandparents and great-grandparents were trapped in the National Socialist system on the one hand and (often) voluntarily became part of it on the other hand - then you will find this well-written book very fascinating.
My favorite quote:
During the dictatorship, the majority of Germans organized their daily lives, avoided possible disadvantages for themselves and their families, but made use of the el salvador telegram screening advantages that presented themselves wherever possible.
Unfortunately, much of this book is (again) highly topical. I don't want to say any more at this point.

I also read this book as part of my novel research. It differs from other survival and prepper guides in that it is about long-term survival in the wilderness (especially in the boreal zone, which is roughly equivalent to Scandinavia for us). I was horrified to discover that I would probably only have a survival time of about four weeks - if not less. Fortunately, I am not planning on retreating into the wilderness. And if I do, I am now prepared.
