Walter Epp: Copywriting is a big topic – selling with words, selling with texts. You do it yourself and teach it to other people. How did you get there? It's not an official educational path.

Max Längsfeld: No, I got into it very unofficially. I got into it in 2016. I was studying foreign languages in Munich to interpret English, French and Russian and I earned my money iceland telegram screening as a waiter. That meant I carried trays at night and on weekends and somehow got into it during my studies. You practice translating and dealing with languages the whole time and then, I don't remember how, I tried to do it online. That's where I got my first jobs translating texts. They were marketing texts via a freelance platform.
It wasn't very spectacular. I got 44 US dollars for it, which I didn't even pay tax on. Of course, I hadn't registered as self-employed at that point either - I had simply created an Upwork profile and started. I earned 44 US dollars for translating the marketing text for an Amazon product page into German.
