Don't write a single word until you have answered this question.

Step 3: John Grisham's trick #1 to write a book
Writing a book: What is the goal of your book?
Now comes my favorite trick.

It's by John Grisham, one of my favorite authors.

The bestselling author ivory coast telegram screening once revealed his trick:

Start with the end.

1. The ending is what makes a book good.
Your readers remember more what they read at the end – this is called the recency effect.

The first impression is important.

But the final impression remains – and ensures that readers recommend your book to others.

2. You know where you are writing
Whether it's a novel or non-fiction, you have to know where you want to go with the book.

If you don't do that, you won't have a common thread.

Your novel will get out of hand.

Your nonfiction book will have a lot of unnecessary stuff that won't help the customer achieve their goal.
