What is SaaS?
SaaS is an abbreviation of the English expression Software as a Service, or software as a service. It is a type of application that relies on the cloud infrastructure of its creators. Typically, SaaS software is provided in a browser, which allows you to access it from anywhere and on any device.

or install files on your computer (except for some very russian business mailing list complex applications, such as Adobe software), or bother about a server or hosting.

A SaaS application may (but does not have to) have desktop and mobile versions, but they are usually just an addition, not the main way to use the service. For example, Tidal (a music streaming service) can be used both in a browser and via a smartphone app and a dedicated program for Windows systems.

Software as a Service software generally requires constant access to the Internet to be able to communicate with the service provider's server on an ongoing basis, but not always. There are also applications that offer an offline mode, but due to the lack of a network connection, it offers limited possibilities.
