These innovations ultimately led to the product that would make Apple the first publicly traded U.S. company valued at $1 trillion : the iPhone, which has now sold more than a billion units .

Apple achieved all of this by combining its original goal (to bring emerging technologies to the masses) with a will to change things.

This is what we can learn for change management: Stay true to your vision, but at the same time welcome change.

No company has ever grown without constantly evolving to meet changing customer requirements. Even Coca-Cola has not changed its basic recipe in 130 years, but has introduced by-products, changed its packaging and launched new advertising campaigns to keep up with the times.

In addition to blockbusters, some print media are also good examples of the problems that companies can face when they resist change.

Small business owners and project managers should hold on to the most important elements of their company vision while adapting them to remain relevant and competitive.

Recall the vision that made your company unique and added value, and then consider how you could better achieve that vision through incremental changes to what you already do.

Change can take many forms, such as hiring a new leader belgium telegram data or partnering with another small business to offer more to customers or expanding into a new region.

Gartner suggests a simple approach for this type of thoughtful, incremental change management that defines the initial situation, the desired change and the reason for it:

Initial situation: Define the current situation together with management, business partners and employees.
Goal: Describe the direction in which the company should develop and develop a vision for the desired state.
Reason: Make it clear why the change is important and make sure it is consistent with your business strategy.
This article from Smarter With Gartner explains the From/To/Because method of change management in detail.
