Lens can be used in home yards, balconies, doorways and other scenes, with a better remote monitoring of 5m to 10m.
8mm lens can be used in streets, alleys and other scenes, with the best remote monitoring distance of 10-20m.
In addition, some camera lenses have zoom capability, and the lens size can be adjusted according to the scene monitoring range, which is more flexible and convenient, but the cost will also increase accordingly.

Nowadays, most home indoor security cameras use 2.8-4mm lenses, and with pan/tilt, they can monitor every corner of the room 360° horizontally without blind spots.

4.3 Night vision function
Currently, the mainstream CCTV cameras on the egypt number data market support infrared night vision, as well as starry night vision, full color night vision and black light night vision.

Infrared night vision
Infrared night vision refers to a function in which, in a dark or poorly lit environment, the camera uses an infrared transmitter to actively project infrared light onto an object, and the infrared light is reflected by the object and enters the lens to produce an image. It is also the most common method of night vision.

The range of infrared night vision is usually about 10 meters. Some cameras can increase the range of night vision to 30-50 meters by increasing the transmission power. However, the main problem with infrared night vision is that the image is black and white and cannot show more details.
