Here we come to the URL architecture that we use at Rock Content and the one we consider the most suitable for multilingual websites.

The main advantage of the subdirectory model is the fact that all pages created are under the umbrella of the main domain , which appears prominently in all countries and languages.

The result of this feature is that all the pages indexed in Google collaborate to strengthen the authority of the main domain, which makes that same domain position itself more quickly in the search engines of users who speak different languages .

In our case, we have some particularities according to the strategic objectives of our international and domestic expansion:

the "BR" subdirectory is focused directly on Brazil, not on the "Portuguese" language, since we do not have a priority intention of attracting users from other Lusophone-speaking countries in the world.
What both subdirectories of our site have in common morocco phone number list is the main domain "rockcontent.com", which grows stronger with each backlink and each new page that is created in the folders under its control.

This means that if at any time we decide to produce content in French, we will be able to position our page more quickly in search results in that language.

It's not that it would work 100% well for us because it would all depend on the quality of our strategy in French. But the truth is that Google would immediately recognize the credibility of the domain because of its strength in other languages.

As with other structure models, there are some not-so-positive points in the subdirectory model, such as:

the same possible user confusion between language and country, which I mentioned in the subdomains section;
Separating pages in the database is more difficult, as they all focus on a single property.
