Learn the differences between a nurturing flow and a newsletter

Nurturing Flow and Newsletter are two Email Marketing strategies that have very different purposes and applications. Understand how each of them can be useful to generate more leads!

As a Digital Marketing Consultant , I have had contact with companies of very varied sizes and sectors.

From the individual micro-entrepreneur, who sells makeup online, to large organizations, with more than a thousand employees. These companies, when we talk about Inbound actions , have very different strategies. But, when we talk about newsletters and nurturing flows, most of them (not all!) have something in common.

Despite the relative simplicity of these concepts, there is still a lot of confusion regarding theory and practice. So, without further delay, we will now explain a little about each term and its applications.

What is a Newsletter?
There are several definitions for the term newsletter. If we think about its literal translation, the correct definition would be informative bulletin, that is, a written communication addressed to a group of people.

There are those who confuse newsletters with spam, which are those inconvenient promotional emails that we receive in our inbox without having asked for them. And this is point X of the question.

In order to send a newsletter, your audience must have explicitly placed a request to receive your mailings . Regardless of whether you offer free educational content, promotional offers, discounts or updates about your company.

Therefore, a newsletter , within an Inbound strategy, can be defined as the periodic sending of relevant content to a certain group of people who have requested to receive it.
