Why Twitter is (still) more fun than the rest

Post by Bappy11 »

All of these new features fit into Twitter’s plans to double its revenue by 2023. And after hearing about these new features, my immediate thought was, “No… Just stay who you are, Twitter.”

Luckily, no date has been announced yet for when the new features will be available, so for now I'm still enjoying Twitter as it is. Call me old-fashioned and out of touch with the times, but I like Twitter as it is and I get a lot out of it every day. I'd like to take you into my Twitter world and who knows, I might inspire you to dust off your account and get active with it.

1. It's an easy way to expand your network
On Twitter you can easily follow people you don't know. Easier than on other fax lists social media channels. So you can quickly expand your network. As a result, many great initiatives arise on Twitter.

To discover who you can follow, you can of course search for certain terms. But what I like to do more is to check out the followers of my followers. Do I see an interesting account? Then I first look at what that person tweets. And if that fits what I am looking for or like, then I will follow you. I often respond to a tweet from that person right away, as a kind of introduction. 'Yay, I am now also among your followers.' This is a relatively easy way to keep your timeline in order, by the way.
