Just ten days ago, on June 22nd, the Netherlands issued a limited series of coins to commemorate the centenary of its Mint. The "100 Years Mint Building" series features a unique feature: it features a QR code on the obverse that links to a Ministry of Finance landing page , featuring a video briefly revealing the secrets of the Mint.
This is the first time that QR codes have been used in numismatics.
