No-Click Searches Problem

The keyword "seo," the American spelling "search engine optimization," and the British spelling "search engine optimisation" are all classified under "seo" by the Keyword Planner and have a combined search volume of 33,100. However, the British spelling certainly accounts for a much smaller share of search queries than the other two keywords. An ad is displayed for all three keywords, but the organic results vary significantly. If the SEO chooses the wrong variant as the focused keyword for a landing page, this can have a significant impact on traffic.

From 1 October 2018, another change will come into effect for English keywords.
Google determines search intent using self-learning algorithms. While this change is helpful for advertisers, depending on the accuracy of the algorithm, it continues to make interpreting search volume more difficult for SEOs.
