Meta tags are text blocks that describe the content of the site pages. They are important not only for promotion by key queries. Whether visitors will go to your site or it will remain hanging in the search results depends on correctly filled meta tags.

Meta tags are not visible on the website page. Except for the Title tag – you can see it if you hover over the page tab in the browser. The rest of the tags are hidden in the HTML code. Therefore, if the website was created without taking into account basic search engine optimization, they may remain empty.

What are meta tags?
The main meta tags of any page are Title, Description and Keywords. There is also an Alt tag for images, but we will talk about it next time.
