The European Commission has activated several projects and tools, also providing significant funding , among which we must certainly mention the CEF ( Connecting Europe Facility ) , a financial instrument of the European Union to support public and private investments in "networks" of transport, energy and telecommunications, an area which includes several projects on interoperability in the different document management and delivery cycles.

Above all, it is one of the main promoters of the PEPPOL initiative, which we can perhaps better define as a network .

One of the association's missions is to promote PEPPOL standards also in the B2B context , with the aim of harmonising processes , leading to the simplification of the adoption of e-procurement for all companies, large, medium and small .
