It's more likely the impact of someone seeing the review, visiting the restaurant, and then promoting it through their own review or referrals. As for reviews, I have seen mixed results. I believe reviews are extremely important beyond the actual SEO impact.


For some clients, we have made an effort to get more reviews and for some key terms and phrases, it has made no difference. In some cases, competitors have no reviews and yet they rank higher than us, even when our reviews are in the double digits.

I am obviously biased, but our client Just Tyres has had two of their best months in terms of revenue on their website in the last three months! We have a steady flow of links being built to their site using citations.
