How to do SEO on Instagram, according to its CEO, Adam Mosseri

MWith over 1.2 billion active users and counting, Instagram’s importance and the position it has earned as one of the most used social networks in the world is undeniable, and this has made it an extremely functional platform for any marketing strategy. However, in order to get your content to your target audience and create real opportunities for them to engage with your brand, you need to know how to do SEO on Instagram.
Until recently, the social network only showed results related to hashtags or user profiles. Since the beginning of 2021, an update has been added that includes keyword searches , making it much easier to apply SEO strategies on Instagram so that users can find posts related to the topics they are interested in. This search will soon be improved, as explained by Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram:

We’re also improving search results for exploration. For example, your search for “space” will also show you space-related photos and videos. This is especially helpful when you don’t have an exact username or hashtag in mind when searching for a certain topic.”
