Post by Fgjklf »

Threads, created by Instagram's parent company Meta, is a social media platform where users can share and interact with each other's text posts.

Since Threads launched in more than 100 countries last Wednesday, the app has apparently signed up 30 million new users, Meta CEO Zuckerberg wrote in his own Threads post.

The new app comes as Twitter users are disillusioned with the effective lebanon mobile numbers list platform after Elon Musk took over and are looking to join alternative social networks such as Mastodon and Bluesky.

Threads is a separate app from the Instagram app. Once you download the app, open it and click the “Log in with Instagram” button at the bottom of the screen. An Instagram account is required to use Threads, and users are presented with the option to follow people they follow on Instagram.

Once you've set up your account, you'll be able to see posts from people you follow, as well as random users you don't follow.

Look at the bottom of the screen and you'll see a row of icons that can help you navigate the app:

The house icon takes you to your feed.
The magnifying glass icon takes you to a search page where you can type in the usernames of people you want to follow.
The pencil and paper icon allows you to create a new post.
The heart icon shows your account activity. It shows who followed you, who replied to your thread, who mentioned you in your posts, and which users are verified.
The human figure icon takes you to your Threads profile, where you can view your activity.
How to create a post?
Click the pencil and paper icon, located right in the middle of the navigation bar, to make a post. The post is limited to 500 characters, although you can add a photo, video, or GIF to it by pressing the paperclip icon just below the text.

How to interact with users?
If you want to interact with a user, click on their profile and open one of the posts. You will see four icons below the text. From left to right:

Press the heart icon to like.
Click the dialog box icon to reply.
Tap the reverse symbol icon to republish a post to your feed with the option to add a quote.
Tap the paper airplane icon to add the thread to your Instagram story or post it to your Instagram feed. You can also tap the “copy link” button to retrieve the URL and click the “share via…” buttons to send the thread via text, email, AirDrop if you have an iPhone, and other social media platforms on your phone.
