How to optimize your site for Google's Core Web Vitals

Google is on a mission to improve web performance with Core Web Vitals. Why? Because Google’s business is predominantly web-based: slow websites and web apps push users to native apps.

Your placement in Google search results is largely determined by the keywords in your search term, the use of those keywords within your page, and the popularity of your page based on the number (and quality) of links from other places. As of August 2021, Google is making an effort to evaluate pages based on performance as well.

Why Core Web Vitals?
Content is still crucial. But if you compare two sites with similar text and popularity, the one that offers the best web experience will be prioritized higher in Google search results.

In addition to a boost in page rank, high-performing sites are eligible for inclusion in the mobile search carousel. Previously this was reserved for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) , which required content to be ported to a separate site hosted on Google. No interstitials: Avoid intrusive interstitials that take up an excessive amount of screen space. Is your content always readable? Is it partially obscured by pop-up interstitials or banners? Do advertising or marketing promotions make the site difficult to use?
Safe Browsing: Your site should be free of malware , viruses, phishing, fraud and other scams.
Once you meet these requirements, your website's performance will be evaluated.
