This part is special for me, because it concerns copywriting, which is my daily bread at AITOM (not the stale kind, but rather the kind with a fragrant and crispy crust). A copywriter writes texts that sell, convince and entice, a copywriter must have insight and the ability to empathize with others in order to hit the nail on the head with his texts.
A website does not work without high-quality, impactful texts. Copywriters are here to ensure that you do not have to read on websites: Welcome to our website! Our company was founded in 1999, we are a flexible, dynamically developing company (do we know what we are talking about?). Because there is another way, better, livelier and more engaging . It is pointless to pay for valuable search engine positions with a welcome on the page. Copywriters are also here to figure out what words to include in the text so that it is as optimized as possible for search engines.
And where can you find copywriters? In online agencies, as freelancers, or in large office 365 database companies, where copywriters take care of the texts on the website, their updates, or the management of social networks .
Before I start writing
Before a copywriter starts writing text, many questions must be answered, the basic ones are:
Who am I writing for?
What is the goal of my text?
What form should the future text take?
In previous parts, we went through how to find keywords that will help search engines find you, building backlinks, and web analytics. And we're far from done. It's also important for a copywriter to have insight into all disciplines of online marketing, because just like in life, everything is connected to everything in the online world.
What doesn't a copywriter like?
A copywriter doesn't like spelling mistakes, addressing you with a capital v, the conditional, words that smell like clichés , and the desperation of finding a phrase that will knock them all down. ( Can I please think of a new word and you'll then put it into the rules of Czech spelling? ). Moments when inspiration doesn't come and moments when it appears without knocking and you're standing in a crowded tram and you don't have a pencil, paper, or smartphone.
I write, therefore I am. I dedicate this article primarily to all the aunts, grandmothers, and family members who ask me at every meeting: What do you actually do?
Read the previous part: Linkbuilding is a patient job: part VI .
Copywriter my name: part VII.
