Burger King: Valentine's cup

Netflix: match or mismatch?
Is your boyfriend or girlfriend really the best person to watch Netflix with? You can easily find out with Netflix Match . With this app you can discover what percentage you match with your favorite Netflix (and chill) partner. Your result is presented in style based on matches (or mismatches) from well-known Netflix series. Extra nice that there is an option to share a gif of the result. Less nice that it has not been made easier to share the result via WhatsApp, while the app is made for mobile. Below my result, time for a Pleurop flower…

Tinder: #FundMyVday
A brand like Tinder can't afford to lag behind on Valentine's Day. With #FundMyVday, Tinder calls on users to describe their most ideal Valentine's Day using emojis. Tinder then selects a few that they will actually make come true. The videos will be online around Valentine's Day, such as the two below. In the videos of the chosen activity, only actors/models are clearly used. Of course, it would have been cooler if they had really surprised lovers with their perfect Valentine's date in the form of a random act of kindness.

Burger King is introducing a new cup: Valentine's Cup. What's so special about this cup, I hear you ask? Well, it has not one but TWO holes for your straw! Mind blowing innovation from Burger King. Fortunately, the company itself also presents it with the necessary sarcasm through the epic blockbuster-like trailer below. That does hotels mailing lists make it very sympathetic.

Google: Question Time with Cupid
Google hosted a live Q&A with Cupid where you could win tickets to the Chromecast movie night .

Boursin: culinary inspiration
Boursin wants to inspire you on Instagram with delicious Valentine's Day snacks such as: 'Witlove tubs', 'Mon cheri tomatoes' and 'A toast of love'.

Who's missing?
But still, there are brands missing from this list. I expected something special from brands like Durex, Bloomon, Fleurop and Happn. Brands are of course more frugal with the moment they 'hook up', because there is often an overabundance of actions. You have to be really good if you want to stand out during such a day. But is that so bad? If that affects the creativity of the campaign, certainly not. Quality instead of quantity.
