The Israel Electric Company is prepared for Storm Carmel and warns of disruptions in regular electricity supply due to wind gusts

In light of the expected stormy weather during the coming week, the Israel Electric Company held a preparedness meeting headed by the company's CEO, Ofer Bloch, and reinforced the field teams, pruning, excavation contractors, and customer response at the service centers.

Due to the expectation of strong winds (up to 100 km/h), rain and remove background image flooding, and a sharp drop in temperatures, mainly in Jerusalem and the north,
the Israel Electric Company is preparing to repair damage to the electricity grid and is warning the public to prepare for interruptions in the regular electricity supply.

Electrical infrastructure is exposed to weather hazards, including flying objects, strong winds, and flooding that could damage the infrastructure and block access to facilities. The Israel Electric Company is asking the public to remove and clear from roofs or balconies objects that could 'fly' in the strong gusts of wind and damage nearby power lines.

In the case of torn cables or wires, this is a danger to life. Do not approach the scene of the accident and immediately report it to the fire department or the electricity company.

In the event of using a life-saving device, ensure that there is a backup battery and, if necessary, evacuate to the nearest ambulance or hospital.

The electric company is in constant contact with local authorities to optimally coordinate the repair of hazards.
