3. Everyone sprints: think, test, build, optimize in short cycles
The third similarity is the short-cyclical nature of many methods, often called sprints. This is because we as humans perform optimally when we set ourselves concrete goals. In addition, we live in an uncertain world in which it is nice to be flexible, which makes adjustments possible. And finally: unlike twenty years ago, it is now also technically possible to create a landing page, measure it and evaluate it a week later. That is why Lean Startup, Google Design Sprints, OKRs, One Metric That Matters, Lean Design, Voort method, scrum and the Pirate Funnel all work with short cycles.
When do I choose what? And why?
One reassurance: there is no right or wrong. Every method in this overview adds value. The question is when.

The end justifies the means
The most important thing is the goal. kuwait telegram data What do you want to achieve? Every method is a means to get there. Do you want to get a clear picture of the motivations of your target group? Then choose the tensions model. Do you want to design something with which you can brief the development team? Then don't use your prototype from the Google Design Sprint, choose Lean Design.
Go through each phase step by step

An example is the internal startup of a Dutch grid operator. This grid operator saw that the world is changing (check 1). They had a clear picture of the role they could play in this (check 2). Based on that, they came up with a portfolio of internal startups (check 3).
So far (and up to there) so good . Then they started building without a clearly validated concept. The developers proactively took the lead in terms of content, with the result: an extremely complex solution. In a development language that no one really mastered. And because there was no validation, it turned out after launch that there was (unfortunately) only a limited need. By going through the conceptual step, the grid operator could have prevented this and saved a lot of money.

The combination of factors
The most important thing is that there is coherence in the methods you use. If you use the Business Model Canvas, then the Lean Canvas adds little. And choose either scrum or Waterfall. The latter may not be popular, but is still very effective when the deliverable is fixed and the steps to get there are predictable. Make sure that each phase is covered by at least one method.
