But that doesn't necessarily mean that you can't cover a wide range of topics with a blog. But you should try to create sub-pages for the different categories and use them to build links.
The topics should be fairly narrow. Writing about politics in a PC blog probably doesn't make much sense. But it's all a matter of perspective and goal. Hobby bloggers can certainly do well with it.
