Manual actions, verification of hacked sites and other efforts in the fight against webspam

Post by Abdur14 »

In conjunction with its cleanup of hacked websites, the internet giant said it offers resources to help webmasters understand the most common ways websites are hacked and how to use Search Console to check if your site has been hacked, an effort that, taken together, will keep the web safer.

Beyond spam, Google reported how it expanded its efforts in 2020 to protect its users against other types of abuse , for example against online scams and fraud by creating algorithmic solutions that now make it very unlikely that these types of websites will appear in search results.

Another advancement of artificial intelligence in the search engine relates to the way it improves the ranking of product review , information and shopping sites: “we wanted to make sure that you get the most useful information for your next purchase, rewarding content that includes a more detailed review and useful information.”

Another of Google's efforts to keep webspam at bay is manual denmark business email database reporting: according to Google's guidelines regarding manual reporting of webspam:

“ If you believe another site is abusing Google’s quality guidelines, you can report it by filing a spam report. Google prefers to develop scalable, automated solutions to problems, and will use the report to further improve our spam detection systems .”

You can manually report a site that is suspected of webspamming on the Google webpage dedicated to such reports.
