Define a payment processor

Post by Fgjklf »

Assuming that donations are made online, we need a payment processor that can fulfill this role. There are several platforms available, check out the main ones below:

PayPal
Perhaps the best known of all, PayPal is a secure payment direct mail mortgage marketing processing system that allows users to receive donations online.

With it, donors only need to have a phone number, email address or contact name, without needing credit card details . All of this is quite advantageous for the platform, as it requires an account to be created in order to make the donation.

Therefore, it may or may not be advantageous, depending on your point of view, as it offers more security, but requires having a Paypal account.

GoFundMe
Have you heard of crowdfunding ? We can also call it a collective financing platform, here GoFundMe is a great example of this and is specifically designed to accept online donations .

Among its benefits, we can mention the creation of fundraising goals , publicize your identity , accept donations without creating an account , thank donors personally , update donors with photos and new activities, as well as the possibility of carrying out activities on mobile devices .

Venmo
Another option is Venmo , which is very easy to set up. To get started, all you need to do is download the app on your mobile device. Compared to other platforms, it accepts the most foreign currencies .

While Venmo is for nonprofits to use, if donors choose to accept credit cards, there is a fee. Another limitation is that Venmo requires donors to create an account.

Stripe
This alternative is also a favorite among NGOs, as it offers a discount on the processing fee for non-profit organizations that only accept donations, without selling products or services . All of this happens with great transparency.

Stripe lets you access donations directly on your website, and it also allows for recurring donations without any monthly fees. It’s also worth noting that there are no fees beyond what you pay for each transaction .

With this guide, I'm sure it will be easier to outline a good strategy for receiving online donations. And if you want to invest in a marketing plan for your NGO , I recommend you read our article !
