How to label products correctly

Post by sadiksojib35 »

Responsibility for labeling depends on the type of business. In two cases it lies with the seller, in the third - with the partners.

If the marketplace has its own workshop or a contract manufacturing agreement in Russia, it can act as a manufacturer, in which case it does the labeling itself. The second option is that the seller officially imports clothes from abroad.

With this model, the seller must register in the taiwan telegram number database Honest Sign system as an importer, independently generate markings and send them to production in another country.

The following information is indicated on the label:

product name and manufacturer's article number;
data on the size according to the grid recognized in the Russian Federation;
composition indicating the percentage of materials used;
trademark;
a circulation mark used within the Customs Union.
If the seller purchases finished goods from a Russian manufacturer, then all responsibility for marking lies with the latter. The marketplacer receives all data on the "Honest Sign" from the partner and sends it to the sites where the goods are sold.

In the case where the seller imported cargo goods or purchased them on foreign markets, it is better to refuse the "gray" scheme, otherwise fines and inspections are inevitable. Moreover, there are many high-quality and interesting clothing manufacturers in Russia.

What should sellers do with leftovers and new lots?
If on April 1 the seller has goods in the marketplace warehouse that are subject to labeling, they can be sold until July 1 without applying the "Honest Sign". After this date, the sale and import into Russia of clothing without labeling, purchased before May 31, 2024, is prohibited.

For sellers, the most profitable option is to sell off the remaining stock, and it is better to take care of this issue now.

By September 1, marketplaces must put into circulation clothing purchased abroad before April 1, 2024 and delivered to Russia before the end of May. Information on putting into circulation the remaining inventory must be provided by early November. From October 1, it will be impossible to label clothing manufactured or purchased abroad before April 1, 2024.

How the innovation will affect the clothing niche on marketplaces
In general, the reduction in the share of "gray" goods will have a positive effect on the niche. The supply on marketplaces will become more qualitative. Russian manufacturers will also benefit, the number of their clients will increase. Due to the increased demand, the number of manufacturers will also increase.

The weak points include the increase in the cost of goods. Many buyers come to marketplaces precisely because of low prices for clothing, now there will be fewer such items. However, labeling still has more advantages.
