CRO vs. SEO – What’s the difference?

Post by Habib01 »

SEO is the process of focusing on increasing both the quality and quantity of visitors to your website from search engines like Google.

CRO focuses on how to optimize existing content and messaging to get those visitors to complete a specific action.

SEO can act as the pipes that hold and deliver the water to your house. CRO acts as the facade and determines whether you can turn on that water or not, and at what rate you let that water fall into the funnel where you are collecting the water.

You can use SEO to rank a website on the first page of Google. But if that page doesn't answer the user's query, it will slowly drop in position as users prefer other pages and click on them instead of yours.

If users land on your page and bounce because the content and messaging on your page isn't relevant, you'll also start to lose rankings over time.

And if those users are finding the page through search, but the messaging and mexico consumer email list content isn't leading them to complete a desired action, you need to rethink how to properly optimize these pages.

Both CRO and SEO are quite intertwined with each other, but at the same time, they play their own roles when it comes to marketing.
