MARTYNA: When building our employer branding, we participate in job fairs and other industry events. Additionally, we actively cooperate with career offices at universities, run a dynamic company profile in social media and promote our company through attractive job offers. Talent Days fits perfectly into our mission, because it is an extremely attractive, media and professional event. Participation in it allows companies, such as ours, to build a positive employer image on the labor market.

MARTYNA: Our methods of presenting the company during this event are diverse and carefully thought out. First of all, we focus on our people, who talk about working at Decathlon in a natural and enthusiastic way . Our team consists of passionate people who are eager to share their experience with potential candidates visiting our stand. Before the fair, we also prepare leaflets with QR codes for our advertisements on the Decathlon Career website to facilitate access to current job offers. Additionally, we create a sports zone , where we organize interesting competitions, and the prizes are our products. We can observe exactly what our potential employees are looking for and what is key for them in the context of working conditions. During the event itself, we actively ask them why they decided to be interested in our company and work in our environment. We believe that direct interactions at the stand allow us to obtain 100% valuable information, which helps us better understand the expectations of candidates and adapt our job offers to their needs.

MARTYNA: We are looking for people who not only share our values, but also exude passion, ambition and a desire for continuous development , even if they are just starting their career path. We pay attention to enthusiasm and their energy - especially if they are not afraid of challenges and want to develop in a dynamic environment. We are looking for courageous people who value contact with customers and enjoy building relationships with them.

TALENT DAYS: Do you face any challenges related to recruiting employees in the sports and logistics industry in Silesia?

MARTYNA: Yes, we face the challenges of recruiting employees in the sports and logistics industry in Silesia. The competition on the job market is huge, and we strive to acquire the best talents for our teams. We notice that many young people participate in several recruitment processes at the same time, which makes a quick response from the recruiter crucial. As the saying goes: first come, first served. During the last fair in Katowice, we were looking for candidates for the positions of sports advisors and in the logistics department. We managed to collect as many as 90 e-CVs. Within two weeks of the fair, we contacted each person to thank them for visiting our stand and leaving their CVs. We invited some of them to the next stages of qualifications, so the fair allows us to recruit much more efficiently.
