The hospital public service in 2022: how many employers, what characteristics of the agents?

Post by Mitu100@ »

The hospital public service is under pressure with recruitment difficulties whether in hospital services or in accommodation for the elderly falling under this aspect of the public service. Issue 28 of Questions politiques sociales – Les brèves sheds light on civil servant and salaried employment as well as on employers in the hospital public service.

As of December 31, 2022, 1,213,800 agents were employed in the hospital public service (FPH) excluding subsidized contracts (source Insee): a little over 800,000 afghanistan phone number list with civil servant status and affiliated as such to the CNRACL, and a little over 400,000 as employees affiliated to Ircantec (hereinafter referred to as "employees"). Approximately 275,000 of these employees hold non-medical contract jobs, the others being mostly doctors (hospital practitioners, internal or external students ). However, many employees only hold a job in the FPH for a short period, the number of agents who were employed in the FPH during the year 2022 amounts to 671,400, a workforce much higher than that of the approximately 400,000 employees in post as of December 31.

As of December 31, 2022, 972,900 FPH civil servants had pension rights not yet paid to the CNRACL (whether or not they were working in the FPH at that date), a workforce that had increased significantly over one year (+2.6%) after +1.2% in 2021. The number of employees who had held a job in the FPH during the year also increased by 2.6% in 2022, although this increase was less marked than in 2021 (+3.1%) and 2020 (+6.5%), a year marked by numerous recruitments to deal with the health crisis (Table 1).
