I despised myself

Post by jrineakter »

Hello, dear friends! Thank you for joining me for this new episode of Walk with Johan. Today, like every Wednesday, we meet for a little stroll, for a little walk, for a little walk during which we will talk about a subject of personal development. I will share with you a mistake that I tend to make and that I recommend you to avoid, because it can affect everyone.

Before that, before telling you about this mistake, warning you and perhaps helping you not to make it yourself, let me remind you that we have completely updated the course "7 rules for speaking French without getting stuck". This is actually the heart of the heart of Authentic French. I created the 7 rules in 2011 when Authentic French was created, I updated them in 2014, and now, in 2023, we have completely revised these rules.

And I really invite you to watch them either on You Tube, but the best is to go to www.francaisauthentique.com/cours-gratuit , you have a link in the description of this episode, as usual, and you will be able to enjoy the 7 rules. You receive one rule per day, one video per day with the PDF, the MP3 etc. and you can simply progress. That's the basis. And even if you have seen the old rules, I invite you to watch the new ones.

So today, as I was saying, we're going to talk about personal development. You know that this is the heart of these episodes of Walking with Johan, you know that I'm very interested in oman whatsapp number data personal development and what we call continuous improvement. It's the fact of ultimately improving all the time. We don't say to ourselves: "Well, that's it, I'm done, I'm at the top, I'm not moving forward anymore, I'm not progressing anymore, I'm not learning anymore". It's a bit of the mentality of we never get to the top, we never get to the peak. When we die, we were even better on the day of our death than we were three days before. That's the idea, at least in theory, of course.

So this is something that I apply both in my personal development and in Authentic French, continuous improvement. This is also the subject of rule 4 of Authentic French in which I help you not to stress and I help you to use the power of kaizen. There you have it, rule 4 of the course.

And often, a good thing… because I consider it a good thing, even a very good thing, to always seek to improve. Well often, good things, when we do them excessively, it becomes counterproductive, it becomes bad.

I often say this, eh, because we must always be careful when we offer good things that it does not become too much, and in this case too much desire to improve, well that can be counterproductive, like we need water to live, we need oxygen to live, and yet if we have too much, we can die. Too much oxygen, we can die; too much water, we can die; too much food, we can die, while these things are in principle good for us, so good that we need them. So I often take this example to show that we must be careful of any excess.
