So why don't I do it? There, I've just given you a lot of reasons why I would love to learn a new language, well the reason why I don't do it is that it takes a lot of time, it takes a lot of energy in fact. And the two languages that I have managed to learn successfully, that is to say English and German, Italian I put aside because I wouldn't be able to today...
but I was telling you that I'm putting Italian aside because I wouldn't be able to really express myself in Italian if I went to Italy tomorrow. So for me, English and German are languages that I learned out of necessity and they are the two foreign languages that I speak best and I don't have that necessity today, I don't have a need, I don't need to learn a new language.
And so, I wonder if I would have enough motivation and energy to learn a language that I can't use on a daily basis. Today, French, English and German are more than enough for me, I never use Italian.
And in parallel with that, another reason that pushes me not to necessarily make the commitment, because if I make the commitment to myself and to you in the audience to learn sweden whatsapp number data a new language, inevitably it will deflect me from other priorities. And I was talking to you two weeks ago about my big priority which is the Authentic French Academy. I work every day on the academy, we are fully committed with the team, and I know that it would take mental energy, the fact of learning a new language.
At the moment, I haven't managed to convince myself 100% yet. And although I often have these desires and I'm on the verge of starting, I go online to look for methods to learn a particular language that I'll tell you about in a moment, I haven't managed to push myself to do it yet, but I'm sure that's only a postponement. I can imagine myself learning a new language in a while.
And now it's time to tell you what language I would like to learn. Well, I would like to learn Arabic at the best possible level. Why Arabic? First of all, because it's a language that is very, very different from the languages I already know. So it would be a big challenge to say to myself: "Johan, are you able to learn Arabic at 40?" You see, it's a big challenge after all.
I know that if I set myself the goal of learning Italian to a good level or Spanish or another European language, Dutch, I know that I could do it and that it is only a question of effort, it is not a question… there is no doubt in fact, I will manage to learn these languages. I just have to get down to it. For Arabic, it is different because it is a language that is very very different from the languages that I master. And so, this challenge motivates me. Of course, Arab culture in general interests me more and more.
I'm sorry, I had to cut the recording
