The IM Marketing Forum recently conducted an interview with Michael Ceyp, professor at Wedel University of Applied Sciences. One focus of the conversation was search engine marketing (SEM) in relation to directory entries.
During the interview, Professor Ceyp stated that the afghanistan phone number list relevance of entries in the end customer business is actually shrinking - "however, directories in the B2B sector are flourishing. Basically, companies should take a very close look at the various providers of web directories and let quality - i.e. the accessibility of their own target groups - be their deciding factor, rather than quantity. The registration process for web directories is usually relatively simple and can be carried out in-house."
Professor Ceyp also believes that search engine marketing is also suitable for the business-to-business segment. "Here, the search terms are generally more specific. The focus in B2B is on identifying and evaluating new suppliers and products. This search need of users is therefore more likely to be met by specialized business search engines," said Professor Ceyp in an interview.
