In recent years, Tarkhov and his wife lived abroad, but in January they came from Finland to Samara, after which no one saw them again. According to RTVI sources in the main department of the Investigative Committee of Samara, the couple was shot.
Immediately after the murder, the ex-mayor’s granddaughter, Ekaterina Belskaya, began selling the property of her grandparents, including a collection of icons, jewelry, and a car.
