What to do if scammers have your SNILS

Post by monira444 »

If you have lost your document or you suspect that your personal account number has ended up in the hands of criminals, you should do the following:

change your registration data on Gosuslugi and set up two-factor authentication if it was not connected in advance;

check your credit history to make sure that there have been no applications for credit products and no new loans have been issued;

check where the funded portion of the pension is stored, and whether there have been any transfers to another NPF.

If your passport data has been leaked along with your ukraine mobile database account number, you need to file a police report and change your passport. If you notice that a loan has been issued in your name or that a transfer to an NPF has been made in your name, you need to report fraud.

Can a fraudster get a loan from a bank using SNILS?
Large banks do not issue loans based on personal data and always require original documents. If the original passport and SNILS are lost, this may be a potential threat. There are fraudsters who transform into victims and come to the bank branch with original documents. Another option is to forge a photo in your passport and try to get a loan with such a document.

Both schemes are very dangerous for criminals, as bank employees are well aware of such fraudulent methods. Therefore, fraudulent schemes are more often used for microloans. Microfinance organizations can issue a loan based on a photocopy or even remotely - based on a photo with a passport in hand. In such a situation, it is much easier to fake a photo and appearance, and if the loan is not issued, at least they will not be able to arrest you remotely.

Sinara Bankcares about the safety of customersand recommends responsible management of personal data and secret passwords:

Do not tell your bank card PIN to third parties and under no circumstances write it on the card itself.

Do not give SMS codes to anyone, including bank security officers. If you receive a call from an unknown number and they introduce themselves as a security officer, they are scammers. End the conversation immediately, call us and report the attempted fraud.

Contact your bank immediately and block your card if it has been lost or stolen.

Always check website addresses, email addresses, phone numbers with official resources and company contacts. Do not engage in conversations with employees of any organizations until you are sure that they are not trying to deceive you.
