How the service creation began
The idea that led to the creation of BuildDocs came to the founder of the service developer company, Evgeny Buzlaev, back in 2019. At that time, he worked as a design engineer at one of the sites in St. Petersburg, and his total experience in the construction industry was more than 15 years.

And then one cloudy winter day, a box with executive documentation slipped out of his hands and fell into a puddle. Seeing a large volume of damaged important documents, Evgeny thought that it would be a good idea to convert them into a machine-readable format and not encounter such cases anymore.

First, he presented it at the ITMO accelerator in 2020, then he reached the final of the Build UP accelerator from the Skolkovo Foundation, and a team assembled from colleagues from the ITMO accelerator began to launch a pilot project.
