Better self-management can simplify your daily life, increasing your productivity and satisfaction. The first step is to learn strategies that help you achieve your short- and long-term goals while avoiding procrastination.

Here are some examples of the best self-management techniques we've compiled for you:

The Pomodoro Technique helps you increase productivity by alternating between work and break periods. You divide your tasks into segments and work for three 25-minute sessions, with five-minute breaks in between. After the fourth interval, take a 30-minute break. The ABC Method focuses on organization and prioritization. First, make a list of all your tasks. The ALPEN method helps with daily planning and consists of five steps. They are followed letter by letter: A stands for jotting down activities, L stands for estimating task duration, P stands for planning buffer time (actually 60% for spontaneous tasks and interruptions), E stands for establishing decision-making priorities and ranking them by importance, and N stands for reviewing and recording success (what have you achieved?).
