NA Rabiul Hasan Liton, Panchagarh Correspondent: An easy bike rider named Latif Hossain Shanto (22) was killed in a head-on collision between an easy bike and a tractor in Atwari Upazila of Panchagarh. Three other people were seriously injured in the incident.
The accident took place in the Nayankar Dalua area of Balrampur union on the Boda-Atowari road. The deceased, Shanta, hails from the Gobindapur Palli Bidyut area of Radhanagar union in Atwari upazila. He is the son of Sadequl Islam of that area.
Eyewitnesses said that the easy bike was going from Boda Bazar to Atwari with country email list four passengers. While overtaking a motorcycle, the easy bike collided head-on with a brick-laden tractor coming from the opposite direction. As a result, the easy bike fell on the side of the road. The easy bike driver Shanto was killed on the spot. At that time, the seriously injured Uttam Kumar (30), Abdul Khalek (30) and Shahin Hossain (25) were rescued by local people and brought to the Boda Upazila Health Center.
The doctor on duty at Boda Upazila Health Center declared Easy Bike driver Shanto dead and transferred the seriously injured Uttam and Khalek to Thakurgaon Modern Sadar Hospital.
