Google's Responsive Search Ads automatically tests your headlines in different positions to see how they perform in headlines 1, 2, and 3. The same goes for your descriptions. This gives Google the opportunity to show the best possible message for the person searching, the keyword, and even the device.
However, it may be that you would like to show a specific message in every ad. You can do this by pinning your headline or description. To do this, hover your mouse over the headline or description that you always want to show. A pin icon will now appear and when you click on it, you will get the options to pin your headline or description to a certain position.
'Show this headline only in a detached position' will always show your message in headline 1, 2 or 3. Do you want to show your message in a fixed position? That is also possible! Just keep in mind that your third headline and second description will not always be shown. The message you pin to these positions will therefore not always be part of your Responsive Search Ad.
9. Don't pin too much!
